Nothing beats the cold than the warmth from malatang on a winter night in Melbourne I enjoyed the food and my experience here.

It has over 100 fresh ingredients, including meat, seafood, tofu, fishcake, veggies and different noodle types to choose from to make your own combination. We tried their signature malatang (was able to adjust the spiciness level which was a bonus for me! ) and the laksa broth.

This is my second time that I went there. I smell something bad at the meat and seafood section. I grab beef tripe and It start to smell very strong. Once I smell it, the tripe smell usual. After I paid I walked past by that section, it still seems smelly to me. The smell is like the meat isn’t fresh like overdue. But I didn’t worried a lot until I finished my food. Me and my partner start to feel stomachache and got many times diarrhoea. Feel sick after all. Didn’t recommend to go there again

Been a fan of dragon hot pot for many years. Have eaten in many suburbs but this is the worst branch I think. The broth is not the same, it is not as flavorful . The ingredients smell bad and look old :/ not fresh like other branches. The beef tripe and pork tripe was disgusting, so chewy and smell so bad i have to spit it out.And they kept customers wait quite a while and just do random stuff in the back.

Love this cozy restaurant where you can find the staffs are friendly and D.I.Y your protein, noodles, topping, veggies etc. Nowadays, they also have a variety of drink to cool you down. I got myself some sliced beef, marinated chicken, tiger prawn, egg quails, enoki mushroom, cheesy sausage, ha cao. I got 2 types of noodles as I was going for Malaban (Sichuan stirfry flavour). I chose Fire- hot level.
Pros: Everything was so good. Just I personally think it’s too salty for me, so I added a bit more sugar and the soup they gave me to balance the taste out.
Cons: I got 2 pieces of the Chinese donuts, but they missed it and only gave me 1. I came up and let the girl who worked there know. She politely apologied to me and rush the kitchen to bring another one out for me. I was pretty happy with the way they solve the problem.
I will definitely come back here as I love this place and love to support local business.

Look, I thought it was OK. It had been freshly restocked with frozen filling ½ hour before closing (we just such I’m for a meal).
I always think hot pot as being excessively salty & full of MSG, and this place was no exception. Had to pay extra for rice, and I can never get a pot for less than $32. Crowded little place, but I guess that makes it feel more authentic?
